At Dieppa Law Firm, P.A., we work with clients on family law issues, including divorce. Our focus is on achieving an equitable and amicable result, if it is possible. Divorce litigation may be necessary if the parties cannot resolve their differences on their own. We will develop our litigation strategy based on what we believe we can achieve in court. Most importantly, we will strive to ensure that children are properly provided for. At all times, we take them time to educate our clients on their rights and obligations under the law. Some of the areas of family law serviced by our attorneys are:

  • Divorce - We handle contested and uncontested divorce.
  • Property Settlement - We assist our clients in obtaining their equitable share of assets.
  • Alimony - Where appropriate, we will ask the court to award alimony based on the spouse's lifestyle during marriage, length of marriage, spouse's age and health, income, and assets of the parties.
  • Spousal and Child Support - We will determine and seek to obtain the child support payments that our client is entitled to under Florida law.
  • Post Judgment Relief and Modification - We can seek relief from the court where a spouse fails to comply with their post-judgment obligations.

We strongly recommend mediation. At mediation, a neutral party will mediate the case and both spouses and their attorneys negotiate directly child support, division of marital assets, and visitation. If mediation is not successful, litigation and trial will ultimately determine these issues. Given the private and personal nature of these issues, we always offer a free initial consultation.
